About Madeline Spidel-Winters, Support Group Coordinator
Madeline Spidel-Winters is a certified trauma-informed Human Services professional. Outside of being a volunteer Support Group Coordinator for PCAHT, she works directly with survivors through a local non-profit aimed towards rehabilitating women from their previous human trafficking trauma.
Madeline is currently a student at HACC working towards a degree in Human Services. Her studies are aimed towards gaining understandings of multiple cultures while learning how to give supportive care to human trafficking and sexual abuse survivors. She uses a strength-based approach towards those who are in her care which really just means she believes a little encouragement and uplifting confidence can go a long way in a survivor’s healing process. If she could share one thing with you, it would be to remember to live everyday with empathy as survivors regularly walk by our side.
There are many things that lift Madeline’s spirits besides the opportunity to help others. Some of those things include her supportive partner, her cat named Stanley, and her ukulele. She loves to spend time in nature and with her loved ones.
